Control 4 has recently announced some big changes for 2012 which include a revamped warranty and RMA program.
“New Warranty and RMA Programs
Effective February 1, 2012, Control4 has enhanced its Standard Two-Year Product Warranty. Should a Control4® product fail in its second year according to the warranty, an advanced factory reconditioned replacement will be provided immediately upon request. Previously, the second-year warranty only provided repair which incurred inbound shipping time, repair-time, and return shipping time. Dealers may select the outbound shipping method for the replacement product – weekday overnight, two-day, or standard delivery – to best match replacement installation timing for both the end-customer and the dealer. These changes will expedite the replacement process for affected customers and provide more efficiency for Control4 Dealers. Additionally, Control4 has revised its RMA policy to provide paid return freight for the warranteed product being replaced.”

One of the coolest products at CES this year isn’t a smartphone or an ultrabook, but Wi3’s MoCA product, the WiPNET. Wi3 has won a number of accolades for the produce including the CES 2012 Innovations Award in the home networking category.
Wi3’s website describes the product as “a simple solution to the myriad of problems facing in-home networks and the hassles of connecting multiple Internet devices to a single access point. “
The WipNET uses a home’s existing coax cable and MoCA® technology to provide reliable and full-strength ethernet connections anywhere they are needed.
What makes MoCA and the WipNET so impressive is that it enhances technology that is already found in most homes, coaxial cables and outlets, to distribute media in a household.
We’re looking forward to seeing Savant’s TrueCommand control portal at CES this year.

Josh, Dan, and Michelle will be heading to the Consumer Electronics Show tomorrow to get a peek at all the year’s must-have gadgets. Our office will still be open all week, and we’ll surely be getting lots of updates and pictures from Josh, so keep an eye on the blog as MHA goes to CES.
