Why We Are the World-Wide Leader in DIY Home Automation:
The following services/items are included with every home automation/multi-room audio system we sell.
1. Personal and professional system design.
Each system design is 100% custom based on your plans. After you complete the Estimate Request form we get to work selecting components that will match your preferences, desires, and budget.
2. Complete wiring diagrams.
You are equipped with full wiring diagrams for both the rough-in and trim-out portion of the installation.
During rough-in, you will receive 2 sets of wiring diagrams. The first is a visual layout of your home including each device we are integrating. This layout will show the type of wire needed and it's starting and ending point. The second is a spreadsheet layout listing every wire run along with detailed notes, mounting locations, and other information.
During trim-out, you will receive custom made wiring connection diagrams showing how to hook up your major components (automation panel, audio system, etc). We diagram each terminal/connector to your system. This is not a generic connection guide, it's specific to your system!
3. Installation guides.
We provide you with full installation guides covering the installation of your entire system. These easy-to-follow guides come in both PRINT & ONLINE formats, making them accessible to you at any time.
A sampling of these guides include:
- How to run wires
- How to mount the automation panel
- How to install an automated light switch
Most clients receive between 5-20 guides for a full system. One guide is provided for each product/item that is included in the system.
4. Custom Programming & FREE PROGRAMMING UPDATES FOR LIFE.
We live and breath home automation and our programming shows it. Every home automation is personally programmed by the owner of Mile High Automation, Josh Ferguson. Ferguson started this company because it was his passion. He constantly strives to improve his programming skills to offer clients the best programming in the industry. Aside from yearly HAI training, Ferguson attends other multiple manufacturer training's and the CEDIA trade show each year to stay abreast to the newest products and how they affect his clients.
Programming consists of these items:
A. System configuration: In this step we program your home automation system to integrate and communicate with the other devices in your home. This includes setting up the integration between lighting, security, climate control, audio, and other systems.
B. Personal programming: This is where we start to have some fun! Your home automation system will be personally configured to meet your needs. THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE AMOUNT OF PROGRAMMING WE WILL DO FOR YOU. You can request that the outdoor lights come on at sunset, that music turn on in the kitchen when you get home from work, or that the system remind you to take the trash out each week. We provide you with a programming worksheet that asks you simple questions. From this worksheet we program the system match your requirements and desires.
C. Ongoing programming: Most people can't predict exactly how they want every aspect of their system to function until they have lived in their new home for a while. We offer FREE PROGRAMMING CHANGES, MODIFICATIONS, and ADDITIONS FOR LIFE. If at anytime you think up something new you want the system to do, we will make it happen.
5. Lifetime Support

We offer unlimited support with every system we sell. You work one-on-one with a project manager from system design through testing the installed system. You always have access to him/her via email or phone for any questions that may arrise.
Other Services:
Design Only - From time to time we have people ask if we can design a home automation system for them, without providing any hardware or programming.
We are able to accommodate this request but the follow terms do apply:
- We provide no tech support on how to install/connect any devices.
- We do not provide any installation guides.
- After the plan has been explained and delivered to the home owner our task is complete. Any additional work/support will be billed at $125/hr.
