Automating your HVAC system is easy! We simply replace the standard thermostats with our smart ones. The existing HVAC control board still manages zoning for the house while we manage temperatures.
Our thermostats use 2 wires to operate. One is the standard thermostat wire that your HVAC contractor runs. The second is a communication wire that we use to talk to the thermostat. In the event the automation system is off, the thermostats will still function.

With a programmable thermostat, you set the days and times for temperatures to change. This will save energy, but is only efficient if you have a set schedule.
Our systems are based on occupancy and activity, not a set schedule. When you leave the house, the temperature will automatically be set back. When you arrive home it will quickly come back to the correct level. The same is true when you go to bed at night.
Another use of the smart thermostat that we like, is to have the HVAC system turn off if a window or door is left open. We have all heard the horror stories of $1000 heating bills due to a teenager leaving her window open to cool her room while the HVAC system was working at full power.
In addition to saving energy, you will also have increased comfort. We can program the heat to come on 30 minutes before you wake up. While getting out of bed is never easy, it's much easier if the home is warm. |
